What a brilliant day for some of our Year 5 and Year 6 children!
We were thrilled to visit the fantastic team at South Community Hub Hartlepool, where our pupils had the wonderful opportunity to meet author Lisette Auton. The children listened to her inspiring story, asked thoughtful questions, and enjoyed hearing about what motivates her as a writer.
They were also able to use their World Book Day tokens to choose a free book — a moment that was described as “proper mint!”
Visits like this truly help bring reading to life and continue to ignite that lifelong love of books we work so hard to nurture in school.
