Spreading Joy on our Feast Day Visit

Today, our amazing pupils enjoyed a very special visit to Bramley Court as part of our St Teresa’s Feast Day celebrations, spreading joy, friendship and kindness within the local community. The children delighted residents with beautiful flowers that had been generously donated for the occasion, bringing smiles to faces and making the day even more memorable. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to connect with others and demonstrate the caring values that are at the heart of our school.

St Teresa’s Celebrates a Wonderful Feast Day

Wow, what a fantastic day we have had celebrating the Feast of St Teresa! Inspired by St Teresa’s famous message about doing "little things with great love", our pupils embraced the spirit of the day through a range of thoughtful acts, kindnesses and celebrations. It was wonderful to see so many children taking part and demonstrating the values of compassion, generosity and care for others.

Mini Vinnies Raise Funds for Macmillan

Pupils in our Mini Vinnies group enjoyed supporting a fantastic cause as they helped to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. The fundraising event provided a wonderful opportunity for children to put our school values of Participation and Community into action, working together to make a positive difference for others. Through their enthusiasm and generosity, they helped support the vital work that Macmillan carries out for people affected by cancer and their families.

Reception Pupils Explore Storytelling Through Movement and Dance

Children in Reception at St Teresa's Catholic Primary School, Darlington, enjoyed a fantastic PE session this week as part of the Move & Imagine: EYFS Story-Led Creative Learning programme. The session was led by a visitor from Karen Liddle Dance School, who encouraged pupils to use storytelling, movement and imagination to bring ideas to life through dance and creative activity.

Reception Children Shine at Sports Day

Reception pupils at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of sport, teamwork and fun as they took part in their annual Reception Sports Day. The event gave the school's youngest pupils the opportunity to showcase their enthusiasm and determination through a variety of sporting activities. Throughout the afternoon, children demonstrated excellent teamwork and perseverance, with every participant giving their best effort.

Year 6 Fill the Corridors with Music at St Teresa’s

Year 6 pupils at St Teresa’s in Hartlepool brought energy and creativity to the school this week, filling the corridors with the sound of their recorder practice. The uplifting session highlighted the importance of music in school life, as pupils worked together to develop their skills while enjoying the experience of making music as a group.

Year 6 Seaside Fun!

Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed a fantastic day at Seaton Carew, spending some well-earned time together after all of their hard work this year. The children were a credit to St Teresa’s, demonstrating excellent behaviour, kindness and respect throughout the day. There were smiles all around and, of course, a well-deserved ice cream for everyone!

Mini Vinnies Support the Good Shepherd Appeal

Our Year 3 and Year 4 Mini Vinnies proudly represented St Teresa’s at a special Mass held at St Joseph’s Church yesterday, marking the 80th anniversary of St Cuthbert’s Care. This meaningful celebration provided a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to come together in prayer and reflection, recognising the incredible work carried out by St Cuthbert’s Care in supporting those in need.

Eight of our Year 5 children had a fantastic time this week taking part in an exciting UV Cricket event. From start to finish, they represented St Teresa’s beautifully—showing brilliant teamwork, enthusiasm and outstanding sportsmanship. This vibrant, fast-paced activity was not only great fun but also a wonderful chance for our pupils to try something new. Their positive attitude and encouragement of one another made us incredibly proud.
